# MCP

> Connect Claude, Codex or another MCP client to Blon.

Blon runs a remote MCP server. Connect it once and your AI client can browse your assets, pick voices, and generate images, video and audio in the conversation. Sign-in is OAuth; no API key is needed. Generations spend your Blon credits.

## Server URL

```text theme={null}
https://blon.ai/api/mcp
```

## Connect a client

> [tab] Claude
>
> 1. Open [Settings → Connectors](https://claude.ai/settings/connectors) and add a custom connector.
> 2. Paste the server URL.
> 3. Sign in to Blon and approve, then enable the connector in a conversation.

> [tab] Claude Code
>
> ```bash theme={null}
> claude mcp add --transport http blon https://blon.ai/api/mcp
> ```
>
> Then run `/mcp` in Claude Code, choose `blon` and sign in to Blon.

> [tab] Codex
>
> ```bash theme={null}
> codex mcp add blon --url https://blon.ai/api/mcp
> codex mcp login blon
> ```
>
> Sign in to Blon in the browser that opens.

> [tab] Other clients
>
> Add a remote MCP server using Streamable HTTP and paste the server URL. The client must support remote MCP with OAuth. Sign in to Blon when prompted.

## Permissions and billing

An OAuth connection can read and generate. Generations spend the credits of the Blon account you signed in with, priced by model and parameters. Browsing, copying prompts or choosing a voice starts nothing.

Generation tools return a task id. The client then checks the task until it finishes; it should not start the same generation again while a task is running.

Clients that support MCP Apps can show an asset gallery and a voice picker in the conversation. Other clients get the same data as text.
